Ever Get the Google “We’re Sorry” Message? If So, Here’s What To Do:
Let’s say you’re researching a martial arts topic on Google and you’re clicking through search results like crazy. Then all of a sudden, you get this message:
Has this ever happened to you? If so, don’t be alarmed. Turns out it’s tripping up tons of people lately.
Believe it or not, if you send lots of search requests (or click through page after page of search results) in a short amount of time, it can fool Google into thinking you’re an automated “bot” doing something malicious.
Bet you didn’t know this, did you?
While it’s true some malware actually does this kind of stuff, I’m on Mac OSX with NO malware or spyware installed.
The best advice I’ve heard is to sit tight and give Google 24 hours to “un-ban” you. It’s now happening with greater frequency than ever before.
In the meantime, you can hop on over to Microsoft’s Bing and do your searching there.
Bing owes you one, Google.
