ATA Embraces Gracie Jiu-Jitsu

I’ve been saying for years that Gracie Jiu-Jitsu would be a perfect complement to the striking skills taught by ATA Taekwondo.

In fact, at my childrens’ ATA school a few years ago, I had their Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor teach a Sunday class (believe it or not, people DID show up on Sunday afternoon) and it was a hit.

Now it seems the ATA is embracing the idea of ground fighting as essential to self-defense. And they couldn’t have picked a better instructor to teach them: Rener Gracie. My daughters trained with Rener last month and I can tell you first-hand his Jiu-Jitsu is top notch and he’s an excellent instructor.

Here’s some more info on the event hosted by the ATA:

Looked like everybody had fun!

ATA Taekwondo + Gracie Jiu-Jitsu = Awesome Combination.
